I am grudgingly selling my Euro 1989 560 SEC Grand Touring Sport Coupe. It was over $100000 new in ’89 and was the absolute top-of-the-line model for Mercedes at the time. Due the superb handling, the endless power and acceleration, and the staunch steadiness at high speeds, the 560SEC was known as the “Porsche Hunter” of the autobahn!

This car was the last of the handmade Mercedes, and it shows in the build quality. With the windows closed, there is not a sound from outside, no matter how fast you are going! It is loaded with features, including memory power seats, heated seats, power windows, sunroof, mirrors, etc… Everything is solid and beautifully set up, as you can imagine from a vehicle carefully assembled by hand; comparable automobiles were made only by Rolls Royce and Bentley.

As a Euro specification car it is over 5” shorter than the US cars due to the stylish and smaller bumpers, and it has 300HP rather than the 270HP the US models are stuck with. It also has dual exhaust from the engine back, it has manual headlight level adjustment, and 17” AMG sport rims.
