W202 C43 113K miles, San Diego ****Pics****
OK, I have over the years been on a mission to own and drive all of the C class AMG and 3 series M cars and am ready to part ways with my 1998 C43. Please understand that I am a long time MB/BMW/AUDI-phile and a very proficient mechanic and very picky about the cars that find their way into my garage. All of my cars are the top 5% of the used car market meaning they are all straight, no paint, bodywork, accidents, rebuilds etc....
This particular car is a two owner car. I have records from the second owner from about 70k miles. It has one minor scuff on the the front bumper, must be viewed up close, easily corrected and may be done by time of sale. It does have some scratches in the paint but overall, great shine and continuity in the paint. The wheels are very good with minimal curb rash. New Conti extremes. Light sport tires, they are pretty good with great tread wear. You could do better with some pzero rossos, pilots etc, but these are decent and will last a very long time.
Interior has two flaws. The driver door armrest has a tear, it is VERY NOTICEABLE. The back of the center armrest lid has a split. Easy fix with a replacement cover. All leather, dash, carpets, headliner are EXCELLENT, floor mats are newer.
Fully serviced. Fresh synthetic oil, oil filter, (bosch), mann air filters. Had 100K with fresh plugs, have documentation. Trans flush at 66K. Newer MAF.
I am having the paint detailed, the interior is excellent and needs only regular care. I should be handing the car off with no immediate service needs.
The only issue right now that the car has is the driver seat, either the switch or the motor has failed and the rear of the seat will not go up or down. Other than that this is a rock solid C43 in very desirable black black. Fully optioned with Bose, pnuematic seats, xenons, heated seats and phone. Runs and drives extremely well. At a 113K it is likely only half way through its service life. If you are looking for a nice C43 feel free to contact me. I will post pics first of the week.
