What in the world is that business? That's impossible! The car has only been to the dealer twice this year. Once on October 27th to get an alignment and once in January for new spark plugs. You can call a MB dealer and verify this. I just did, bc when I saw what you posted I was like WTF, that's impossible. So either Carfax is stupid, or you didn't type the VIN in correctly.

I'm interested for the right deal. I have cash so the whole what will the bank say is not an issue. Just shopping around, comparing, looking at a couple of modified ones. But I missed out on a similar 06 onyx/black aftermarket HRE's under 65K miles sometime back, a tad less than yours.
I also worry a tad since other posters have stated route 66 has added the AMG as an exception, however I don't see it anywhere in print, they just call out that the C and E classes are eligible.

Honestly I was kind of seeing how your auction played out Sorry but if I can get it for X and be able to sell it as close to X as possible in a year or so, that's what I'm looking for.I'll be ordering something else in a bit and need to park my toy for the time being, so need something that I can comfortable daily until the other vehicle arrives.

Honestly though, after just looking at Autotrader, 06s with that mileage are around $25000. So you may be on to something. I guess the dealer would pay 22 and mark it up 3 to 5 gs and sell it for $25 to 27. I personally love the color.

Hey thanks man, appreciate it. I think the biggest selling point on my car is the color and options combo combined with the extended warranty option that's totally transferrable. This car is honestly very nice and has been well taken care of maintained. Those things combined go a long way for the future owner of the vehicle. I know I will sell it, just have to wait for the right buyer that knows what they are getting.

 

You are right, you are just going to have to wait out the Holidays as most people are preoccupied with other things. But heh, having to wait the holidays in a Mercedes E55 is not all that bad!

You sure parting out pieces is a good decision? and umm carpet = static. Not sure that's a good idea to have those boards sitting on the carpet.

The removal of the video interface should have no bearing on the price of the actual car itself. I decided I would rather not just throw away the money I spent on that, since most people would care less whether it was there or not. And as far as taking pics on the carpet of the video interface, I only placed them there to take pics so nobody had to see the pattern on my comforter on my bed. Its not like I layed the parts down and rubbed them on the carpet until it made sparks. Seriously.

And thanks for the interest in my car and bidding on it, but unfortunately you didn't hit the reserve, so its really a moot point. If you are serious about purchasing the vehicle, please contact me directly instead of tire kicking on my for sale thread.

 

If I'm not mistaken the car hit 22k, so he wasn't that far off, it's the holidays bro, so wait it out and maybe then put it on and you will sell it, you have the warranty while many don't, that's your meal ticket, not to mention it's a clean car
