I have owned this car for about 5 and a half years and love it. I recently decided to replace it with a new R-Class but discovered that the R will be discontinued in the US. I could not find a new 2012 R-Class from any dealer that had the specs that I wanted (Lighting, color, Driver Assistance, parktronic, P2). I also discovered that they were no longer accepting orders for the 2012 R-Class so I could not get what I wanted. I then ordered a new ML Bluetec... spec'd out to my liking. It is scheduled to be built in June.

Therefore my present R-Class is for sale. It has 85,000 miles on it, but runs perfectly. Never a serious problem with it. All maintenance done on schedule by MB dealer... records in the MB computer. A clean non-smoking car. No accidents or serious damage but a couple of dings... the left front fender bent by my wife. I elected NOT to have it repaired as it would require repainting and I thought the possibility of a poor paint match would be more undesirable than the dent. Also has a split in the plastic air scoop in the from grill... it could probably be glued up. Pictures of both available. Otherwise no defects.. although it does show signs of normal wear.

One of the most important selling points is that it has the MB extended warranty good until around April of 2013 or 100 k miles.

I am located in Illinois. My new ML will be delivered by a dealer in the Washington DC area.

I am thinking around $24,000.
