For Sale 1998 E430 Toronto Canada
Up for sale is this well maintained 1998 Mercedes E430 sedan. This car has had many new parts replaced in the last two years starting with most recent brake peddle switch, evaporator temp sensor, clutch fan, aux fan control unit, aux fan drive belt, spark plugs, left rear door regulator, front sway bar bushings, front shocks, driver side mirror replaced, front brake pads, front spring perches(both), upper control arms front, lower ball joints front, new Firestone All Season tires( only 1200km on them as when I bought the car I put snows on then I used different rims and tires for this summer season so they only have about 1200km), water pump, right rear window regulator and much more. I have 90% of the receipts for the work done and I will supply photocopies of all(need receipts for taxes) The interior is black and the seat, carpets, are all in nice shape. Seat have had leather treatment from day one. Car has not been smoked in since I have owned it. Trunk is still in decent condition along with the battery compartment. Dash has a few small crack but not that noticeable. I have no problems taking clients out in this car, many people are very shocked it is 1998 because how the interior looks usually guessed at 2006. I have been in other cars with less mileage and newer with seats with more wear and tear This car has 171,486 mile/276,000 kilometres on it. I am driving the car still as it is my daily driver so mileage might be higher then when listed. Even with the car’s mileage I feel it will last along time yet. The car was mostly highway driven till I bought it. The car has a very powerful, steady precise acceleration that can only be provided by Mercedes. I would drive this car from Toronto to the southern tip of Mexico without giving it a second thought. Here are the only known problems and are very minor stereo antenna amp needs replacing(comes with replacement amp), drivers, head rest not working, turn signal switch loose(common problem still function 100% just loose) cup holder does not retract by it’s self (need to push it back in with your hand I never worried about this as I was told that this was a design flaw that you can spill liquid into the gear selector unit and case problems so I never bothered fixing). None of these actually cause any driving issues. Heated seats, windows, sunroof, power seats, power mirrors, heated mirrors, power door lock, auto dimming mirror, cruise control, all still work. AC worked well last summer. Has IPod/IPhone adapter installed. Car has winter tires on it right now but will come with the all season tires on mono block rims. The car does have a few spots of surface rust but there is no holes(see pictures) left rear door a spot on above the door trim rear, two spots on trunk lid bottom right corner about the size of a dime, right licence plate light, bottom front passenger side door, right front fender between wheel and headlight and finally bottom of grill. If you are handy you can clean these up real quick. The exterior still looks decent and really just needs the rust cleaned up and a good buffing. The car is still shinny The car was rust sprayed for most of it's life. I have seen the same year and newer with a lot worse case of rust. The rust really is not that bad for it's age and mileage. I feel if the new owner keeps up with the maintenance like myself and the other owners this car will be around for along time to come. Maintenance is the key on a Mercedes. Keep the oil changed, change the filter, fix any little problems and the car will last. I hope my S-Class give me the same worry free an fun driving that is car has brought me. I will actually miss this car! Looking for $3500.00 or best offer
