2003 SL55

2003 SL55. 81k miles. All options except distronice (bi-xenon, pano roof, etc). Car is stock except for EPL tune and ASP idler pullies. The car had an RTR pulley on it. They pulley failed and scored the crank. I just got the car back from a total overhaul, new crank, bearings, rod bolts, gaskets, etc. The car is extremely clean and always maintained at MB, I just don't have room in the garage anymore. New 20" Incurve wheels with less than 3k miles on wheels/tires. Asking 24,500

Just a warning to the wise, and anyone considering dealing with this dips***-

This guy Jeff is an absolute flake and a liar. I'm not saying don't buy his car if it's what you want and the deal is right. A car is just an appliance that thankfully doesn't bring with it the personality of its past owners so I'm sure someone will get good use out of it. Just cover your ***, don't trust a word he says, believe what you can see with your own eyes and check it out in person. Don't send him any money, or any other way put yourself in a position where he can screw you.

I was supposed to buy this car from Jeff back in January and after many phone conversations agreed on a price, I arranged for a pricey transport from Reno where he lives (or lived, who the hell knows) to Orlando, and we got to the point where I was sending an an associate who lived nearby to deliver a USPS money order for a deposit and to put a set of eyeballs on the car to make sure it was what he said it was. Then he disappears. Not disappears as in he got kidnapped by the Mexican cartels and was being held for ransom... (Unless maybe the Los Zetas let him log into MBWorld every few days ) Nope.. Just disappears as in stops returning calls and texts.

Also I find out he lied about both the year and the mileage of this car.

It's cool, I understand s**t happens and apply no emotion whatsoever to business transactions. These type of p**sy flakes are all over the place and always have excuses for why they act that way.. Sometimes simple and sometimes powerful or elaborate. I'm sure he really does have this car, I don't think he's a Nigerian scam artist or anything, just a guy whose modus operandi is arbitrary so heads up!

Sorry no trades, just looking to thin the herd.

Sir-boost-a-lot, you and I had discussed you sending someone to look at the car. At no point did you mention you were arranging transportation or preparing to pay for it. You were waiting until you could send a local friend to view it. During that time we had a life issue come up and I apologize for not getting back to you. The cars or anything of the sort were the least of my worries when children are involved (not putting that on you, again apologize for not calling). As to the rest of your allegations those seem a bit harsh and jaded. I"ve had plenty of positive transactions on this board and welcome meeting anyone in person to view the car. Thanks for your concern.

Is the car a 2003 or 2004? I ask because your Garage says you drive a 2004 SL55. Do you have 2?

No just one car. For some reason I always had in my head it was an 04. It wasn't until i got the title out to take the car to Carmax i noticed it was actually an 03.
