Hi there,
I'm helping my mechanic and friend sell HIS car. Obviously it has been mechanically taken care of. I know dealing with third parties can be a pain, but this won't be. I have no financial interest in this sale, just doing him a favor.
It's truly a beautiful car!

The good:
119000 original documented miles (with receipts)
Rebuilt trans
New exhaust
New Tires
New brakes
Valve job
New timing chain w/rails
Hard top included
Very clean interior
The bad:
Quarter size spot of rust just underneath pass headlight (as seen in photo)
A few small rust bubbles on front corner of hood. (Also pictured)
Asking $8,000

Neat car and the R107 chassis cars are starting to appreciate.
A few items that may cause issue(s) with a potential buyer is the fender rust and also the fact that it is the less powerful 3.8L V8 (versus the 5.0L V8 or 5.6L V8 as in the 500SL and 560SL).

It is a very nice car! I agree with the issues on the vehicle. Anytime I sell cars, I try to be up front, so there are no surprises.
The clientele in the desert may benefit from the smaller engine.
I haven't put this on craigslist yet. But will do it soon. There may be more interest there. Figured I'd give the forum first dibs!
