FS: 1998 Mercedes A160 for sale in Columbus, OHIO $8,500
For sale is a Mercedes A160, 1998, with only 38K miles. This car will bring more attention at Mercedes club events then a $130K S class. Extremely rare in the USA.
The car originated from just south of Tokyo, Japan, in an area where they rarely see snowfall. Therefore this low mileage A class has very little corrosion or rust anywhere on the car. Also, the Japanese are known to be quite meticulous in regards to the way they treat their automobiles, and this one show's. It looks nearly like a brand new car. 3 of the pics do show difficult to see blemishes on the car but otherwise in pristine condition for its age. Tires have very little tread wear. One nice feature as it relates to storage, the rear seat and passenger seat can be removed with quick release levers. This makes for quite a lot of space.
Mechanically only one issue from my cross country trip. The turn signal stalk about half the time, does not release when making a turn and must be manually turned off. As a related issue with the stalk, the high/low beams are very touchy. I'll supply the winning bidder with a replacement stalk. 1 key FOB. In the pics you will notice wet spots under the car. This is due to the car receiving a car wash just before the pictures and was not 100% dry underneath. This car does not leak any fluids whatsoever.
This Mercedes is a grey market vehicle, meaning it was never intended to be driven in the United States. The buyer will receive a clear Ohio title. Although a title and registration can be obtained in most states, this car does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and is therefore recommended for export or off-road use only. VIN # is WDB1680332J124205.
