With nearly 500hp and 600 lb-ft of torque bundled into a German open sports car, what’s not to love. These hardtop convertibles can hustle from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds while cradling you in all the luxury you expect in a Mercedes-Benz.
The MSRP on this SL was over $135,000. As you can imagine, it was loaded with nearly every option available on the lesser models plus even more. In addition, this example came with the following factory options:
Navigation
Panorama roof
Tire pressure monitoring system
Keyless go
Heated and cooling seats
The primary owner of this Mercedes purchased it from Mercedes in October of 2004 with only 5,800 miles. They lived here in Orange County, CA and always serviced the car at Fletcher Jones Mercedes in Newport Beach, CA. No maintenance was ever over-looked and we have a complete history of the services. In the last 1,000 miles, over $4,000 was invested in preventative services/repairs. This included:
New radiator
New belts
New battery
Mercedes “B” service
Brake system flush
New front brake pads and rotors
New trunk struts
Furthermore, the ABS pump was replaced; new tire pressure sensors were installed; and, lower control arm bushings/stabilizer bars were replaced. All in all, this is an incredibly well maintained example.
The exterior is in great condition. The paint is all original and verified with a paint meter. There are minimal signs of wear. There is a very small crack in the front lower valance (see pic). The front tires and brakes are near new. The rear tires will need replacing soon and the brakes have about a third life remaining. The interior is equally as nice. There are no tears, cracks, or any significant signs of wear. The owners were non-smokers and the interior still smells like new leather.
The car has been recently smog checked and passed with flying colors. California registration is good through October 2014.
This MB includes all the owner’s manuals/books, dealer service records, spare tire, jack, air compressor, first aid kit, and an extra key.
