I have a 92 500E with 147K that has been involved in an accident and is now a salvage. I dont know why it is a total loss but I think a bent fender corner and a cracked bumper has something to do with it as those alone are 3K. Anyways this wouldve never been a total loss car if it was valued higher by the insurance company. I fixed cars that had all air bags deployed that were not salvaged. This BEnz does not even have frame damage its just the top radiator support that has to be welded in rest is bolt on. Im seriously considering giving it a face lift as I have a 94 trunk, hood and lights. Should I do it is the question? Price of the car is so far unknown it depends on what I decide to do. I do have a same color radiator support and hood in perfect condition. Hood that matches in color is the 1992 pre face lift one. So If I do the facelift I will need to paint trunk, hood, fender, buy tail lights and New front headlight lenses along with headlight wipers and 94-95 metals under headlights. If I do the 1986-1993 style (pre merger) All I need to do is paint the fender buy euro headlights with 94 headlight wipers and metals under headlights. What do you guys think? keep it stock and simple or do the face lift. I have all the parts like shrouds radiators and fans from a 94 e420 with 51K that I bought PARTS only title.
