FS: 1990 500SL AMG 6.0
This is a true 500SL AMG 6.0 that I brought to Canada from Japan in 2007 and have loved ever since. Unfortunately, I have too many toys and it’s time to let her go so I can pay for my other project. It’s a real AMG, with stroke measurement (and acceleration!) confirming it has the 6 litre engine, rated at ~380-400hp. Lots of new parts/maintenance done - I can provide a list on request. This car has power and style to spare and turns heads wherever you go. The suspension and wheel/tire combo makes this car ride a little stiff, but it corners like it’s on rails - this is not your grandpa’s Mercedes!
The car runs great, with one minor issue: the Cold Start Valve doesn’t automatically work when you start the car. This isn’t an issue as I have installed a switch under the ignition to manually fire the Cold Start Valve, which works fine. you simply flick the switch up, start the car, then flick the switch down after a few seconds to turn off the CSV. Easy.
Cosmetically, the interior needs a bit of work to be perfect but I’d say it’s an 8 out of 10. The soft top itself is in decent shape, but the plastic windows are pretty foggy looking. It's certainly acceptable for a daily driver if you change the plastics though. The hard top also comes with the car, as do some extra parts for maintenance.
Pictures are from when it was painted by Coachwerks here in Victoria BC (the guys who paint million dollar 300SL gull wings for one of the top restorers) in 2010 but the car looks the same - it truly is beautiful. I can snap some new ones if anyone wants to see anything specific.
Car is in Victoria BC, not sure if it can be imported to the US, you'll have to do your research. I can deliver as far as Vancouver BC (where there's an auto shipping company) or you can pick it up here.

gotta love the extremely rare AMG cup holders in picture 13 ... if you still have it during this year's Mann Cup in Victoria, i'll buy it from you [if you can get me a trip permit to drive back to Upper Canada]
