2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series, rare Arctic White. 1 of 35 made
We have decided to sell our Black Series and go into a different direction. We love this car and that is why we did all of these upgrades, but unfortunately it is time to move on. We are the 3rd owner, the previous owner lived in California where the car spent most of it's life.
We bought the car locally from a dealer here in the Chicago area in April of 2014 and have put around 4K miles on it since then, but only 150 this year. I have a few cars and this has basically been sitting.
Over last winter 2 pieces of carbon fiber cracked, the ashtray and the shifter surround. I removed the front bumper in February to get it repainted (rock chips & several previous touch ups) so I had the front louvers, ashtray & shifter surround redone by a carbon fiber guy. All 5 pieces look like new.
A few of the required mods have been done to this car. If you know anything about these cars, you will know that the below upgrades are a must.
Specs;
-42,750 miles.
-Continental tires (7-8/32")
-Extra carbon fiber trim in interior (last year) $1500
-Rear seat & seat belts from standard CLK (last year)
-Weistec oil separator (last year) $650
-MHP ECU tuning (last year) $1500
-MHP Low-temp thermostat (last year) $400
-K&N air filters (last year) $100
-Throttle blip/Rev-match with Stage II upgrade (last year) $3500
-Exhaust X-pipe added (last year)
-K-Mac adjustable camber/toe bushings (last year) $500
-Rear control arm bushings (last year to fix wander) $900
-Girodisc front rotors (maybe 300 miles) $1150
-Yellowstuff F&R brake pads (maybe 300 miles) $290
-New spark plugs (last year)
-Window tint (came with)
-Exterior lights tinted (just wrapped last year)
-Optima Yellow battery (last year)
-Just serviced
Still have all rear seat delete parts, 2 keys, manuals, coilover tools, etc. Rear seat delete can be re-installed before delivery if you wish.
No warning lights, no leaks, no dings, no scratches. Does have a "slight" dent in drivers door edge, looks like someone tapped a wall when they opened it. We actually did not notice for a couple weeks after buying it. The car does have some light rock chips (front bumper perfect), rear flares have some chips at the front. If you are looking at a car with 40k+ miles, you are going to have some chips.
If you need this inspected, we have a Mercedes Dealership close by (Mercedes-Benz of St. Charles). You have to pay for inspection!
This car has went up in value and I am sure that it will continue to do so. They imported 367 of these to North America, most of those are Black, or Silver. The other 2 colors are Red (approx. 10 made) & White (approx. 35 made). Here is your chance to get a rare car that has all of the "required" upgrades already done!

Although I have a lot of interest in this car, a BS just isnt in the cards or budget right now. But I am curious about those rear seats. One of the things that has always bugged me about the BS was the lack of the rear seats, even tho it basically has just carpeted rear seats. Could you just fill me in on if this a model year specific thing?

When I said "basically carpeted rear seats" I guess I meant that they are basically the shape of a seat, but just carpeted instead of putting in padding. Anyway, I guess I should have been more specific with my question. How hard was the swap to standard CLK seats? Was it a bolt in affair? Was there cutting or fabbing needed to get the seats to fit? Any information you can give would be great. I looked for a thread pertaining to this topic, but couldn't find anything. Thanks!

I think $60K is a steal for this car - surprised it hasn't sold. Among my all-time favorite cars ever made, I'm just not ballin' quite hard enough right now haha
Free bump for an awesome car!

Thanks guys. One of these days it will be sold.
BTW, I have only had 2 people come and look at it. One was a Dealer and did not want to pay, the other was a guy that never looked at one before and knew nothing about it. Just takes the right buyer that knows what the car is.

How does the insurance company list it? Just as a reg AMG or does your comp have specific listing? Interested as my E55 is being totaled out just battling them.
