Classic rare 1973 c230.6, bbs wheels...
1973 Mercedes 230.6 Automatic - German market import
This is a very rare and special car as it was never sold in North America after 1969 with a 6 cylinder engine. This particular model was left in its original form when imported with the smaller european bumpers and european headlamps. ** I have all paperwork from when the car was originally purchased in Germany!!! **
The body is in incredible condition with very minor marks here and there from driving. The body is straight and solid, it does not appear to have any rust. The doors close with a solid thud and the door jams are clean. You could serve dinner out of the engine bay or trunk! The paint is very good.
The engine has been upgraded to WEBER carburetors with Redline filters ($1100). Its an excellent setup and very user friendly vs the old Zeniths. Other recent engine maintanence includes, new mechanical fuel pump, distributor cap, rotor, ignition points, spark plugs and the ignitions system removed and replaced with an MSD 6AL ignition box and Blaster Coil. Runs strong.
The transmission has been flushed and filled with new atf and a new filter added. No issues.
The brakes have been upgraded to vented and drilled rotors with larger calipers from a 1989 560SEC. Front calipers are new!
Wheels are custom build BBS RS. Centers have been powdercoated mirror black and the lips are 1 inch wider in both front and rear. 16x8 Front and 16x9 rear. 205/55/16 up front and 225/50/16 rear. ($3000)
The interior panels are in great shape, however the seats need to be recovered. I have faux leather covers on them now which look okay.
Will sell for cheaper with just the stock wheels or will entertain all trade offers
