I have a pretty extensive car collection and recently added a Aston Martin Vantage. Planning on selling my beloved SL55 this spring (or sooner). Diamond Silver 2005 SL55 AMG with just 61k original miles, Keyless Go, Charcoal interior with rare Brushed Aluminum trim (not wood) with the following upgrades: Kleemann Stainless Exhaust Headers, Eurocharged Supercharger Pulley (installed 1/2016) Kleemann TCU upgrade and color matched Kleemann TS6 3 piece 19” (9.5” f/ 11” r) Wheels with new Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires + a full set of Factory SL55 (perfect condition) wheels also with new Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires. The paint, wheels, interior and even the engine bay is/are flawless. Factory paint matched SL63 rear lip spoiler and CF front lip spoiler. Radar Detector Hardwire for Valentine One plus Blinder Laser Jammer front and rear installed, Carbon Kevlar Focal (their highest level separates) and JL Audio amp/speaker upgrade integrated into the factory locations completed in 2011 by Benchmark Motoring ($6,000+ cost, see link below). I upgraded the factory NAV this last summer with a Pioneer AVIC8000 NEX (their top model NAV/DVD), I found an excellent factory look bezel and it now has current technology touchscreen with Pandora, Bluetooth etc., pictures of that install to follow Braking System is upgraded with Benz Works 2 piece rotors with Akebono Ceramic Pads and stainless brake lines. Steering wheel is upgraded with a brand new Alcantara/Leather steering wheel from a late model SL65 with full size paddle shifters (matches perfectly). Ride height is fully adjustable with a Lowering Module M1 (see link below) which creates a fully integrated system to control ride height from an in dash menu. The rear end has extra stability with Evosport Rear Toe Links. Additional supercharger cooling is augmented by a Johnson CM30 pump and an extra, larger front intercooler, fully integrated. This SL55 has 493hp stock and about 600hp with the Headers and mild tune and underdrive pulley and is plenty fast as it sits. Perfect Carfax is available.
This car has had just 3 owners and was formerly a Mercedes Starmarked car with factory warranty to 100,000 miles or 3 years at 45,000 miles in 2008 (now expired due to time). It has been enthusiast owned exceptionally maintained weekend car that has seldom seen rain and has never been damaged. It has been waxed, polished and leather treated more times than I can count. It also comes with a Mercedes Factory Car Cover and a Griots Garage Battery Tender. All services up to date, needs no service until next oil change in about 4500 miles.
This particular SL55 is in a League of its own and must be appreciated for the excellent example that it is, I have owned it for 6+ years and it was bone stock when I bought it, it took a while to find one this perfect without wood trim and right colors. Everything on the car is top shelf. I have owned this car for over 6 years and have had a lot of fun with it at shows and weekend cruising but would consider selling to make space for a recently acquired Aston Martin Vantage.
