OWNERSHIP/MILEAGE
The mileage is currently 76,970. I purchased this vehicle in July 2013, with approximately 53,000 miles. It served as my daily driver for two years and has been a weekend vehicle for the past year or so. I have all the service records from my term of ownership and many from the preceding owner, including the Monroney label.
I also have two keys (including the newer style chrome key) and the full warranty and manual booklet.
COSMETICS
To put it mildly, I have been fanatical about the condition of this vehicle. I am that guy that parks at the end of the Home Depot parking lot to ensure no one parks next to me. It is extremely clean both inside and out. It is washed bi-weekly and waxed monthly. I frequently condition the interior leather. There are a few minor imprints (less than 1/8") on the upper left door panel near the tweeter pod, resulting from a mechanic's attempt to remove the door panel. There is also a small crack in the birds eye maple vernier cup hold over.
Everything else is great. The pneumatic seats function perfectly
There are no dings or dents. The front bumper cover including the lower section, which is frequently damaged on W208 CLKs, is perfect. There are two small exterior blemishes on the vehicle both of which I've photographed. The paint shines brightly with little in the way of visible swirl marks and absolutely no fading or oxidation. The overall paint condition is excellent. With the exception of that noted below there is no paint work (I have had it checked with a paint gauge).
WHEELS/TIRES
This CLK is equipped with the stock 17" AMG monoblock wheels. The rear tires are A/S Michelin Pilot sports the prior owner purchased just before selling to me. The fronts are Continental Extreme Contact DWs. Tread on both front and back is very good.
The wheels are all in good condition. There is a 1.5" section of curb rash on the front right
MOTOR/DRIVE TRAIN
This vehicle is incredibly fast and needs nothing. It brakes and accelerates rapidly. The vehicle is serviced exclusivity at MBZ Motors in Winnetka. The CLK has been perfect in terms of reliability. The most significant repair was a rear main seal, which I had repaired at purchase. There are no leaks, smells, smoke or the like.
PAINTWORK
The vehicle had a scraped lower front bumper when I bought it. In mid-2014, a valet (I had no choice but to use one and typically never valet park) tore it on a parking block. The front bumper was then replaced at Beverly Coachcraft in Los Angeles. I had a full front clearbra kit installed after this repair. A few months later, after a very long day at work, I scraped the front right corner of the fender (an approximately 1" section) and the bumper on a concrete pole while pulling out of my parking space. The CLK was again repaired at Beverly Coachcraft. I did not replace the clearbra, which only covers a small section of the front bumper anyway. So now there's clearbra on the left front fender, hood, and mirrors, but not the right front bumper.
ISSUES
With respect to outstanding issues, they're limited. The time and gear LCD displays on either side of the speedometer are missing pixels. This is a common issue and costs about $200 to fix. I just never got around to doing it because I was too paranoid to leave it at at my mechanic's facility overnight (the instrument pod has to come out). The driver's seat fore/aft motor is tired and makes noises. Occasionally it blows a fuse. I did not replace this because I'm the only one who drives the car and I don't move the seat. The cabin temperature sensor (a fan) can be noisy sometimes when the car is turned off. I have purchased a replacement part but not have yet installed it. That's it.
Lastly, the purchase of the vehicle was financed through a PedFed auto loan, which I paid off on 7/15. I understand it may take two weeks for that bank to send me the title. So while there is no lien on the vehicle, I do not yet have title in hand.
EXTRAS
The windows are professionally tinted. I have the warranty info. There is also a smoked vinyl applied to the white section of the tail lights that matches the smoke lights of the 2000+ W210 E55. The vehicle comes with a cover and sunshade.
Also, I have a set of gently used Billstien sport shocks, a set of European AMG springs (which drop the vehicle by about 1"), and #1 spring pads that I bought from a fellow member but never installed. I will include them with the sale if I get my full price.
I welcome any additional questions regarding the vehicle and will happily submit it to a PPI at a Mercedes mechanic.
