This is indeed a very special car that looks amazing. But, $60k, really?
I just passed on a 44k mile, 2 owner clean carfax dealer maintained 2012 that had all the same options except the Designo and the ceramic brakes for $39k out the door from a dealer. The designo and brakes added 15k when new but you can't expect to get full retail on options. Plus it is very questionable whether the carbon brakes are a good thing if you aren't tracking the car given that when it comes time to replace them you are looking at a very large expense. I've now seen five 2012s retailing below $40k asking. All with good miles and two with the P30. And with so many 12s and 13s coming off lease right now in six months the market will be full of cars under $40k.
All that said, very nice looking distinct E63. GLWS but you but IMHO are going to have to come down to earth on price or find someone who has to have that car.

I didn't ask for your opinions or for your market thoughts. It is inconsequential to THIS PARTICULAR CAR
Any reasonable, non-troll enthusiasts out there have cash and not boneheaded comments?
Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice.
I have cash, like the gear and the colors. The miles, not so much. I can barely drive it at all before it takes s good sized whack on the derpreciation. And at that price, its a long way down.GLWS.

You guys are comical. Zach - you must have missed my post from yesterday where I CAME DOWN to $55k. All of the cars you and Larry have been touting do not have these options, do not come with a full factory MBZ warranty through 2019, nor do they have prepaid full dealer services remaining or do they have tire and wheel replacement package.

So all I'm saying is you are looking for a $15.5k premium for a designo interior and brakes of questionable desirability when it comes time to replace them. Sorry you can't see that you are basically trying to sell the equivalent of a custom car for a premium and that only happens when the next buyer simply has to have that custom combo. As I said, GLWS but insulting people who state the obvious tells me you'll probably be waiting for that right buyer for some time. I agree that you have a $50k car when others are selling for $40k but not, as you actually stated, "NORTH of $55k". But don't let us comics or reality get in your way.

Guys, if you don't want to pay over $50k for his car, then don't buy it. There are TONS of cars out there without CCB. Go buy one for $40k. CCB is a VERY rare option and I waited to find a car with it (I have only seen maybe eight for sale in the US and Canada, 2012-2016, since I started looking 9 months ago). They cost $10k new on EBay from Germany as a new set before installation, and $15k as a MY2012 option adjusted from mid-2011 dollars.
Plus it has Night View Assistant Plus as well? Very rare.
The brakes look cool, but also they are damn light (that's rotational mass boys, not translational), and they stop like nobody's business. Plus no fade, ever, and it is possible they'll last over 150k miles before new rotors are needed, at which point the plates will be a lot cheaper to buy.
I would have paid $55k for this car. I got an awesome deal on a nice '14 though.

And yes I get that on paper the equivalent 2014 would be an E63 -S (= P30) but with the all wheel drive a non S still outruns a P30 rear wheel car. If you cannot put it to the ground added HP and TQ don't mean squat. As far as the Carbon brakes, I am sure if you are going to track the car they are great, otherwise why bother. Has anyone here ever actually experienced brake fade with the non-CFB setup outside of a track? Interesting article here: http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...ic-brakes.html And yes I recognize that what I just said also negates the need for the faster 2014 as well.
Finally, this is a forum, not Craigslist, eBay or Cars.com. Even if this is the for sale section it doesn't mean we can't express opinions. No one ever complains when someone compliments a car for sale that they have no intention of buying. And as they say, any press is good press. Every post bumps this to the top.
If someone loves this combo so much they are willing to pay a premium for it then they will regardless of what my opinion is. I have stated I think this is a fantastic looking car that money aside is truly unique and desirable. I just see an E63 as primarily a go fast vehicle and I can get one that goes just as fast for lots less money.

Are you sure the 0-60 mi/h difference is that large?
Also, it's just 0-60 mi/h. With 5-10% more drive line friction, and 150 lb more mass, it has to be slower at speed. There is a reason in ROW they offer a non-4Matic '14-'16 car. The same reason why our market is flooded with crossovers.
I have not seen any '14-'16 listed even close to $60k. Though I have been filtering for S Models only.
I would love to see a comparison of a car with CCB and forged wheels versus a car with drilled steel brakes and cast wheels. 1/4 mi time, apples to apples ('12 vs. '12 or '14 vs. '14).

Best 1/8 miles time posted was a stock non S 2104. All about the launch. But S 14 definitely faster than P30 12. Looks like if you get the launch right so is a 14 non S
