Hello MB World- I'm selling my wagon after two years of reliable service. Moving to an SUV. Description follows-
Very well kept, previously owned by a lawyer in NY who garaged it, then me who has kept up on all maintenance for the last two years.
I don’t drive my car much, in fact only about 5k a year. We have another and I ride my bike to work so this car mostly sees weekend trips. Recent service to this car includes all fluids with genuine Mercedes lubricants. Transmission (and trans filter), transfer case and rear differential fluids replaced, coolant replaced. Original radiator had a recall so it was replaced last year with a Behr unit. The water pump, tensioner and accessory belt was done at the same time. I have replaced CV boots on both front axles with new grease and clamps. Spark plugs were done at 98k. Cabin air filters and engine air filters at the same time. I have receipts for everything. Also replaced- rear brakes (rotors and pads) I’ve added a couple of items to the car. One is a high capacity tow hitch from the UK. It cost about $700 dollars. The car has a tremendous towing capacity and this hitch will handle it. They are not available in the US. The hitch includes a wiring harness that plugged into the factory body module so it will operate trailer brakes. I used the hitch to tow a trailer to the dump. It’s a swan neck style as you will see in the photos. I also had the windows tinted because it keeps the car cool in the summer. I bought a set of wheels with Pirelli Pzero tires that have less than 5k miles on them. The car will be sold with two sets of wheels, one with Blizzak snow tires in 90% condition, the other with 18” summer tires.
The car has no issues other than the radio occasionally clipping out for a second every now and then. I’m not sure what the problem is. It runs and drives perfectly. It’s ready to drive across the country. The interior is cream perforated leather with the very cool third-row rearward facing seats. The front seats are vented, heated and massaging. They have active bolsters. The trunk lid is automatic and you can activate it with the key fob. Rear passenger windows have privacy shades.
Asking $12,000 with all of the above. I have a new Thule roof rack with bike mounts that fit onto the factory roof rails if the buyer is interested. We can make a deal.
I'm not on the forum much but you can email me at grabau @ gmail.com
