Now is your chance to buy a well cared for luxury sports roadster with low miles at a great price! Purchased this sports car in 2008 and it’s been my baby ever since. Regret having to sell it, but a wife and kid have a way of changing your priorities. This SL has almost exclusively been serviced by Motor Werks of Barrington and a few things done myself. I have almost of the all repair receipts (and much more) organized into a binder along with a digitized copy for easy reference. Sold with three complete sets of wheels and tires (See below). OEM AMGs, Summer 19”s and Winter 17”s. Winter and summer tires have 75% or better tread remaining, OEM AMG about 40%. The summer tires were purchased with a 40K mile warranty and have 30,500 miles remaining (sales receipt included). I added aftermarket WoodTec Walnut interior trim upgrades that really make this SL stand out above the rest.
Currently the Summer wheels are installed, but winter is coming. Combine the 4125LB Curb weight along with winter tires and the winter transmission mode, and this becomes a great winter driver. Speaking of weather; features like rain sensing wipers, front & rear fog lighting, summer & winter transmissions tuning, as well as hard & soft top and multiple wheels sets make driving in any type of weather a pleasure.
Equipped with a 5.0L V8 putting out 300+ HP combined with the down-shifting sports-tuned transmission, this car will put a smile on your face every time you step on the gas!!! Now if you're a bit nervous that cruising down the road in your drop top Benz with the Bose system turned up will attract the wrong type of attention, relax, this luxury roadster is equipped with a LoJack system!
This is my second SL500 and I love them. The R129 is such a classic body style that Mercedes faithfully used it from 1989 and 2002. There were some cosmetic, engine and transmission improvements in 1998 that give it a modern feel while still embodying what classic Mercedes are all about. It’s always been garage kept and professionally detailed at least once a year. I never fail to turn heads while driving this car and it's my hope that my dream car can become your dream car! Originally planned on listing for $11,500 but opted for a more aggressive price of 10K to help her find a new owner fast.
