Everyone,

I know this is a long shot, but I am looking for the very first new Mercedes I owned, a 1995 C280. CarFax says it is still alive and in the Mountain View CA area. It is Spruce Green with a light colored interior. Last 4 of VIN is 4606. I am offering a finders fee if anyone knows anything about this car.

As someone who went on 3,020 mile search and rescue mission for his first car (a 1981 W123), I can tell you that NOTHING is impossible.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Yes, the Spruce is the "brighter" green as opposed to the Emerald offered that same year.

For those who are interested: I found the car and have made arrangements to buy it. It has been almost 20 years exactly since I have seen it. It is still a driver, but has 20 years worth of wear and tear and looks like it was dealer taken care of until about six years ago. Now the decisions begin....

That is FANTASTIC! You KNOW what you have to do, otherwise you will regret not rescuing your first car. I did so, spent a lot of time and money but do not regret it one bit.

Ill post some pictures as soon as it arrives at the house. It's really pretty amazing how you can track someone / something down 2,800 miles away.
