I have all the parts needed to fix(door, bumper, tail light, suspension) but the whole rear end was twisted a bit. Needs to go on the frame pulling machine for sure.
Does anyone know the car that was the initial subject of this thread? I'm looking for a clean car, but there's one glaring inconsistency with the ad. The seller states the car has front and rear Brembo GT brake kits, but this is clearly a sliding caliper:
Furthermore, the seller implies RENNtech built the car, but does not overtly state it.

call renntech and ask them if they built that car. give them the vin number.
nice catch on the brakes. possible that they were installed after these pictures, but you should seek major concession. i think the big brake kit is close to $5k

i actually thought of you when posting. the $2000 tag is definitely high considering the work that needs to be done. you can find c43s on craigslist in the $3000-$4000 range all day right now. i saw maybe 10 listings in this last week.
The seller is full of ****. That car used to belong to a member here and was sold a few years back and this guy(current owner) has been trying to sell it since.
Do a bit of research on the forum and you might find the previous owner.

Curious: how do you do a wide open nationwide search on CL? When I search, it only gives results from the city I have selected, and "maybe" from adjacent cities.
ive been using temptist auto search but before that i was using searchallofcraigslist. i feel like searchallofcraigslist doesnt retrieve all the ads though.
The red car is worth it for parts to the right buyer. I'd have no interest in trying to fix it and don't feel it would be worth trying to fix even if it's free but that is a subjective opinion and doesn't mean there isn't still value in it.
There is still a whole car worth of parts and for that reason alone I'd say yes that price tag is just fine.
$40k for a 100k mile C43 with a 5.4 swap? Um, maybe $12k. On a good day. Okay. Okay. Maybe as much as $15k if the brakes and Renntech story checks out and the transmission has been swapped for a w210 E55 tranny with under 30k miles. Maybe.
