So I'm about a year and a half into ownership of my GTS and getting the itch for something new. It has been absolutely the best car I've owned (though the girlfriend has a soft spot for the ol' W204 C63). Not in a rush to move her and with all the work done, she's not for everyone but would be an amazing match for the right buyer. I don't know the exact number but from what I hear there's about <400 of these Edition 1s built and the only ones along with the GTR to come with a carbon fiber roof.
Here's her story:
Picked up the car 1.5yrs ago from MB Thousand Oaks as a CPO car (5yr warranty & unlimited miles) with 1,700mi. One owner previously for I think 9mos which obviously didn't give her the road time she deserves. Not knowing the break-in history, I took the car straight to my shop for an oil change. At approx. 2,500 miles I took her to Protective Film Solutions for the works:
- Xpel ceramic tint 30% all around
- 3M Intense Blue full vinyl wrap (including door jambs)
- All chrome emblems blacked out
- Tint on rear reflectors and rear lights to complete the black & blue look
- Xpel paint protection film on carbon fiber roof
- Ceramic coating to protect the vinyl
- Edition 1 graphics on sides
Since this was all done at about 2,500 miles, needless to say the Selenite Gray OEM paint under is in amazing condition.
Other mods include:
- KW Height Adjustable Springs (installed by Boden Autohaus)
- BC Forged HCA215 2 piece forged wheels in gloss black outer and brushed black inner 20x9.5 x 21x11.5 (didn't go higher than 11.5 in the rear as the stretch on the 305s would not match the front)
- Wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports 265/30/20 305/25/21
- Wheels/tires were installed at about 8k miles
- Downpipes/midpipes + dyno tuned
- Full RW Carbon kit (front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser)
She has also been well maintained:
1,700mi - Oil change
6,000mi - Oil change
10,000mi - Service A
15,0000mi - Oil Change
20,000mi Service B w/ brake fluid
All maintenance done by Star Motor Werks in Costa Mesa, CA. Records included.
Note: I hit some small road debris while driving and it cracked my OEM front lip. This was when I swapped out everything for new RW Carbon pieces. OEM side skirts and diffuser are included. Also the Edition 1 wheels are included as well.
Also car has never been tracked/autocrossed.
Second owner, <21,000mi, offered at $115,000.
To point out the obvious, my asking price is on the high side but not many Edition 1s available, that are CPO'd, and have been maintained over factory requirements like this one. More pictures can be found on my Instagram: sonystyle02
