Any recommendation for a good shop to tint windows in Northbrook area?

 

You've probably already gotten your tints done, but for anyone looking in the Chicago area, I think Umbra in Schaumburg is great. I live in the loop and it's worth it to drive out there to get tint done. The owner is very methodical and his prices are fair.

I had Pinnacle F1 ceramic tint done on my 3er coupe (back in 2010, it as $280 for side windows and back). The owner (Nino) carefully went over potential problem areas and gave suggestions for how to deal with them. For example, he did the top "dot matrix" strip of my rear window in black vinyl to prevent bubbling (since tint adheres less well to that bumpy surface) and then cut individual strips of the ceramic tint to fit between the rear defroster wires. It's been 3 years now and the tint looks as perfect as the day it was put on.
