I am naturally distrustful of stealerships, that's why I wanted to locate a forum member, I'd rather pay a car enthusiast than a bored/arrogant service tech. I was actually looking into getting a diagnostic tool myself. Do you think the Ds808 from autel would be any good? I don't need to do any sort of SCN coding, that's why I was considering it.
