Grand Cherokee made in Austria, ML made in USA

Grand Cherokee made in Austria, ML made in USA
............The reason I find this interesting is because there was an earlier post about the Grand Cherokee and some forum members dimismmes it because it was afterall a chrysler, and not a European car. I personally don't give a rodents behind where a good car is made. But for those that do, you may wish to realize that the beloved ML63 is made in good old USA and the much disparaged Grand Cherokee SRT8 is made in the legendary Magna Styr plant in Austria that has made the G-wagen for 25 years. By the way the chrysler 300C and Chrysler voyager are made there too. Bravo for globalization. LINK

..............Hot rod versions are made in Austria like the others and shipped to USA and the STR8 team modify it.............just as the ML is made in Alabama and further modified by AMG.
.........no, contrary to what some might wish, Mercedes does not run a Euro production plant for the ML63 and an American production plant for the Jeep STR8.
