Ml 55 Nightmare!
Has anyone heard of this- I am losing my mind with this car!
2000 ML55 w/ 65K miles. Car started stalling, first had crankshaft sensor replaced. That worked for about a week and problem came back with increasing frequency. MB then told me that it was a stop lamp switch, which didnt make much sense. Problem persisted, and then MB tells me that apparently a transmission seal leaked and fluid got into the main wiring harness and all the way to the ECM. They were actually very good about working with my AAA extended warranty. BUT After waiting for the car for weeks (the ECM had to come from Germany), and a $9000 repair bill that thankfully AAA covered, THE SAME PROBLEM IS BACK! I dont know what to do at this point. The car is back at MB. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Ditto!!! don't hesitate, go somewhere else,..I did....but for a different problem,...and it was fixed,...correctly

Fuel pump
Need to have a gauge handy to check your fuel pressure when it fails. Or if you have the original short fuel filter, go ahead and replace it and the pump with the updated parts.
