I don't think this should come as a surprise; how many people made back their money over-paying for the original ML's, original Miata's, original Prowlers, SSR's etc. etc. etc. Except for Ferrari, who controls supply so tightly and has so few dealers that new cars sell for so far over list that they appear to retain their value in future years, everything else falls. And, with lots of unsold 2006's sitting on MB dealer lots, they want to move '07's too, even AMG, which, given the proliferation of models, aren't exactly exclusive anymore. Did you all see the article about AMG now offering 3 levels of product over the standard AMG?
