By the way, the ML63 reaches a maximum speed (GPS validated) of 159mph before the limiter kicks in but it would go on to increase that by around 20mph if the limiter was removed.

GPS verified?
That top end seems to agree with what I have seen posted in an article before (nodding 180). Do you have any info on what you are referring to in GPS verified? I have seen references like it before and am curious as to availability, function and cost of such a device.

By 'GPS verified' I was referring to the official performance results that will be published in EVO magazine at the end of this month. They use a calibrated top-end device for all their published tests.
You could achieve something very similar for a lot less money with something like the Vbox
