2007 ML350 w/ full AMG package
Question for Blue_Monster (Help!)

Hi Blue,
Since you seem to be quite knowledgable on the subject of wheels, please help me out here if you can.... I have just ordered a set of 22" Brabus Monoblock VI's.

The specs are as following:

Front:
10x22 ET 60
265/35 R22
Rear:
10x22 ET 55
295/30 R22

I have an ML350 but with the complete AMG package – including fender-flares, therefore my car is as wide as an ML63 and basically as far as wheels go has the same specs. As you stated before – and I also just read this in my user manual, my current 20" AMG ML63 rims have an offset of 46.

My question is this: will the Brabus wheels have the same width (will they stick out by the same amount) as the stock 20" AMG's?
Does a larger offset mean they stick out further?

What offset do your HRE's have?

Thanks!!!

A larger offset means that they are in further. The offset on mine are 36 and 32. I think that the rims you bought might work, but it will be a tight squeeze. Dont get the 35 series tire, because it will rub on the inside for sure.

Worst case scenario, buy some H&R spacers and it should work just fine..

BTW.. if you search through this forum, a member, I think Rubensans, has installed 22 inch Brabus wheel on his ML63 and I believe they used a 36 or 32 offset as well.

Yes, Rubensans told that he used a 35 and 30 offset.

As far as the 35 series tire – that is only for the front as I'll have staggered wheel widths. 265/35 R22 (front) and 295/30 R22 (Rear) the 35 series on the front will have a closer wheel diameter to the stock 20's – the difference being only 0.04%, but if I went wit the 30 series it would be 3.56%, and it's recommended to stay under 3%.

Thanks for all the help – I'll be speaking with the tuning company about the different offsets on Monday – let's see what can be done.

So I spoke with the Brabus guys and I'm getting the wheels with a 30 and 35 offset which is what they recommend for the ML63. Can't wait – will post pics as soon as I have 'em.
