Question Paddle Shifters

Are paddles shifters on the ML63? Dealer is telling me that if I get wood steering will you cannot have shifters?

I didn't even think the car had shifters.

The shifters are actually buttons on the back of the wheel. They are actually nice to drive with. But manual shifting is only practical in a straight line or at speed when you are only turning the wheel a little bit.

All ML63's have the shifter button behind the steering wheel, even the ones with the no-cost wood steering wheel option. I've test driven a couple of ML63's with the wood steering wheel, and both had shifter buttons behind them.

My ML63 was originally ordered with the wood steering wheel option, and I had it changed out for the stock AMG leather wheel, which is much much nicer, IMO. Both wheels have shift buttons on the back side of the wheel, the same as on my C55.
