ML 55 is NOT being discontinued...
According to MB NA in Montvale, there is going to be a limited production run of 2003 ML 55's from November 2002 - April 2003. This has been confirmed by a rep I spoke with.
It you still don't believe here is some proof in a memo that contains all the info for MY2003 MLs.

Click on the August 15,2002 archive, you will find a dealer memo from MBNA to their dealers about the MLs and specifically the 2003 ML 55 will be made in limited numbers.

Check out November's Motortrend mag, the new SUV guide has a section for the ML 55 stating that "although originally killed for 2003, the ML 55 is back"
