295/30/22 Pirelli is the best way to go
35 and 40 will be too much tire, and too different from factory requirements.

I questioned this too, but the 30s are not as bad as they sound

The tires in 295-30 on 22” looks very skinny, I want to close the wheels fender space a little more. What tire presser you use on 22?

I use 38 PSI all around. If your worried about the space, lower it..It handles better too

Just remember with 22" you must be very careful of curbs and potholes or you will be buying a lot of tires!

Very much so. Thats why I stayed with the 20 inch rims. Apart from looking in proportion to the ML63 IMO they are much better for the roads I am often on. Even so I hit a very large pot hole at speed this winter and dented the stock AMG rim. There were cars pulled over after with blown tires. Good rims should bend and good tires shouldn't blow. Fortunately there is a local company that was able to repair it. They heat it, straighten, remachine and then re clearcoat/paint.
