ML63 is as fast as a new m3!

Well here's the numbers for m3 in this video! new m3 0-100 km/h = 4.9 (ml63 is faster) 0-200 km/h 16.7 sec ( ml63 is 17 officially but i bet its lil faster/ same as m3)

So in real life ML63 will be a faster car on the street or at least will give a good fight to a brand new m3!!! Thats awesome! Ofcorse ML63 wont be as good in Twisties

Well, the ML63 maybe a tad slower than the CLS55 but for the few 10ths that I lost, I gain a more usable trunk and one extra seat. The CLS55 takes corners better but if I really want to take a corner fast I wil take out the 997 Turbo, so another advantage nullified. IMO, The ML63 is a better daily driver than the CLS55. The truth is, ever since I took delivery of the ML63 last Nov, I rarely drive the CLS55 anymore, snow in the winter didn't help the CLS55's case either. From Nov 06 to July 07, I put on less than 1000km on the CLS while racking up over 8000km on the ML63. There isn't really anything the CLS55 can do that the ML63 cannot match or come close, plus the ML63 trump the CLS55 in foul weather hands down. Heck even the gas mileage is close, 18L/100km in the CLS55 and 19L/100km in the ML63.

I actually got rid of the CLS55 in July for a 335xi, which is my wife's daily driver now for my son's school run and stuff. She picked white so I refused to update my sig pic because the white ruins it.

I do miss the 55 engine, I feel that engine is a MUCH better match for the ML than the 63 engine, and the reverse is also true. Alas, MB makes a CLS63 but not a W164 ML55 But the 63 is still good, 7k rpm in a SUV? O YEAH.

29-32L? THAT's a heavy foot.

I averaged 19L over the last 10000km with a mix of around 30% highway driving. If I am stuck in traffic and doing pure stop and go, like those on the 401 in rush hour, I would see 25L but that's rare. I do drive with a heavy foot and accelerate briskly from stop lights, and mostly the worst I see is up to 24L or less.

AMG ML63, M3 CSL, Z4M Coupe, New Audi TT, Audi R8 (coming)
Well as a few of you know I already own an M3 CSL (which is comparable with the E92 M3 because I have compared them), I also own an RS4 and of course my ML63. In a straight line it's always clear to me that my ML63 is the faster car.

I have made a few mods to my RS4 which help it feel a little quicker, but the ML always feels quicker and when loaded up with passengers and luggage it still feels exactly as quick.

I just picked up a 04 Evosport E55 last week and That 55K motor truly is something else. I still like the ML63, but it doesnt feel as fun or as fast anymore now that I have the E55 Figures

Good stuff Blue Monster, no matter how good the 63 engine is, I still think the 55 is better.

Now a S/C 63 with the 5 speed tranny would be really interesting. Then of course there is the V12 from the 65. I wounder how BM got himself banned.

Hey, you were one of the first test drivers of the e92 M3, correct? I remember seeing your posts on some of the forums. Great write-ups. I actually had a deposit down on an e92 M3 but I cancelled it.

Interesting comments about your ML63 being quicker than the M3, I would think the M3 would rip it apart . Take care
