has anyone in NA switched the sidemarkers in the headlights from orange to clear? How did you do it?

I've been asking the same question and no one seems to know. All of the suppliers for Porsche and BMW provide clear lenses and amber bulbs (to stay legal). Probably have to get this through MB in Germany, but they usually send you to their dealers...

Here is a cheaper altrnative/DIY, I replaced the Orange markers with a piece of Foil coated Cardboard (was the Cover of a disposable foil pan. I cut it out in the shape of the marker and stuck it on using 3m Moulding mounting tape unfortunately I didnt take step by step pictures but here is the finished product
