Power Steering Rack Question

My 01 ML55 has developed a leaking power steering rack. Does anyone know if all of the MLs of this year use the same rack? Thanks I really appreciate any input as I need to address the problem soon.

ML55's have speed sensitive steering, therefore, no they don't use the same rack as even the ML500. Also why they have a better feel to the steering than the rest of the ML's.

are you positive the power steering rack is leaking and not more likely your hose? which is a much more common issue on the ML?

It definately looks like the rack. I will look further. When I was @ the dealer for the last maintainence they told me the pump was leaking and when I got the new springs and shocks I was told the rack. Guess I need to really find out, certainly before getting any parts. I know I sound stupid but it is nice to get input from these forums about common problems, etc. I know that Pelican Parts has been invaluable for me on the Porsches.
