Simon,

Questions:

I'm debating on a E63 or a ML63... here is my questions: Do you supply or know of any lightweight rotors and wheels for the 2008 ML63? Also, do you have a setup for the air intake with carbon fiber like Carbonio does?

We don't offer lightweight rotors for the ML. As you know, the ML has different brake setup than the E/CLS/CLK/C/SL63. Going to a big brake kit like a Rotora or Brembo would reduce overall unsprng weight and offer better braking. We do offer a couple different options for wheels. Email me at simon@evosport.com for more info.

Yes, we do have a carbon intake setup for the ML63.

Mercedes-Benz gear changes requires not only a mechanical change, but a change in electronics as well. The EGS conntroller for the transmission must be updated with new gearing information. It gets very expensive.

Car is coming back in a few weeks for more work. Will try to get a dyno then. Our dyno here is only 2WD right now, so it will need to be sent out.

They should work but I don't believe it will be a simple bolt-on application. You will probably need to relocate the caliper to work on the ML.

thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "tubular". Do you mean a log manifold? Absolutely not. We feel it's a waste of money and there is little to no power gain in making another log manifold.

With regards to an equal length header, the long tube will make more power. We feel the long tube we offer now will be the best performing header for this application. Even more so than an "equal length header".

There's no room for a true shorty header (with collector) in this motor, which is why nobody offers one. Besides, where as the 55K motor can benefit from shorty, this engine really needs more than that to make good gains. Again look at the SLS header, it's a longer header, not a shorty, otherwise MBZ would have done a shorty.

The one you have on your webpage is it for ml63 also?
i saw the sls headers it is 500 mm and 450mm in length almost equal length.
it`s way smaller than what you are offering.is it doable?
thanks

Not sure which header image on our webpage you are referring to. They will look similar but each chassis may have different size restrictions so the headers are unique to the car (different angle primaries, etc.). Here is what our ML63 header looks like:

The SLS header is not a long tube header. Our header is and it will make more power. When you say "is it doable", are you asking if the SLS header will bolt-on to the ML? It will not.

580 hp is cranck not rw hp,mkb came out with 551 first then they added the headers and a retune and came out with 581 hp.no pulley, camshafts.imo it`s the same every where, you`ll see the same figure.as i pointed out before, supersprint did a dyno before and after for their headers.tune by it self will net you 15 to 25hp.

We can post this because we know exactly what power gains our mods make. The power is rated at the crank. Depending on the vehicle, each will have a different drivetrain loss. Our dyno is 2WD so the ML cannot dyno on it. We have been waiting for the customer to dyno the car on AWD dyno. But regardless, we make 580 on the 63 motor with these mods.
