ML55 Rack and Pinion Sensor?
I am having an issue with my rack, I just had the rack rebuilt, My mechanic told me my 2000 ML55 uses a sensor on the rack, Now, we replaced and installed the new rack, The wheel is turning only to one side, The other side it steers very stiff and hard, He is telling me, I need a new rack and pinion sensor for it to steer normally, Has anyone heard about this? What kind of sensor do i need, and how will a sensor that goes on a rack and pinion solve my steering problems? Please let me know ASAP, I am stuck and I love my ML55 , its my favorite car. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or help, Why my car is not steering to one side at all, and is steering freely to the other.
