Corroding running boards
I have a 2007 ML63 and it appears as if the front 8-10" of the passenger running board is corroding or at least discoloring. Has anyone had this problem?? Also the chrome plate on the back bumper seems to be coming off.

I have a 2007 as well. Same issues on both running boards.

Took it to the dealer and he said it is oxidation. They are going to try to remove it when they install the new chrome piece on the top of the rear bumper. If it does not look good I am going to try to get them to replace it.
