My 2000 ML55 without climate control, blows cold air from all vents including the defroster vents when the A/C is on. Moreover, it will also blow hot air from ALL the vents when the temp selector is set to 'red' or heat. The direction of the air will not change no matter where the right dial is turned. If the dial is set to the floor for heat, the air is hot from the center vents. Is there a cable or some other control device in the dash that can either be fixed or replaced? Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

it`s the valve that distribute the air up and down,i think it should be replaced.
