ML63 TPMS Help

Hello,

New to the forum. I am looking into getting new wheels for my 2008 ML63. However I can find very little information about the TPMS sensors other than they are 433MHz.

I called the dealer and it was of little help other than wanting $190 each for them (part# 0025406717).

I have found several TPMS available used locally for 1/4 the price but these are part # A0045429818 (433.92 MHz) and was told that they will work and are just newer version of the one the dealer quoted me on.

Called the dealer back and asked if the other part# supercedes their part# and was told their parts are VIN driven and they cannot see that info.

So has anyone used these A0045429818 TPMS sensors? Will they work?

Thanks in advance

BB

why not take the sensors off your stock rims?

Were you able to figure out if the 433.92 MHz would work? I'm purchasing another set of wheels and using the stock wheels for snow tires as well. It would be great to save some money on the sensors. Thanks in advance

Talking to several people it seems that all/most 433.92 MHz sensors will work however no-one will guarantee it as it has never been tried. The ML in the USA does not have the smart TPMS system as in Europe, Canada and some other parts of the world so their is no reason it should not work as long as you stay with the same brand of sensor. Although part numbers are different, sensors that are made for the CL, Sl, etc. have been used on the ML and other MB's without issue.

Saying all that I ended up buying brand new OEM sensors from an online vender for 1/3 the price. I ended paying about $40 more for these vs the others on fleabay or other sources and did not have to worry about "what if they don't work". Got them HERE with Free shipping. Although not stated shipping seems to be NEXT DAY as I got them the next day from West Coast to East Coast. If you don't need them that fast maybe you can work out a deal and get them for less.

Good Luck

I got these from ebay. I don't think they work with US cars. It didn't work for me.
