ABOUT TO BUY A 2009 ML63 CPO - PLEASE HELP ME!
Hey all!
I'm about to trade in my lease (c63) for a ML63 as it suits my needs better...the ML63 I am buying is FULLY loaded (every option including the 21" upgraded rims, rear entertainment, tow hitch....everything)....it is black/black. Has about 26,000 miles on it and it is a CPO (1 owner)....
They were asking $63k and some change and reduced it to 59K and some change....They will be paying off the remainder of my lease on the C63 so I break even....
Firstly...I'm thinking low 50s is where I need to be (like $52K)....is this sounding right? I searched for ML63s for sale across the nation. The 2009s range from high 40s to the low 60s for asking price....can u guys advise what the goal should be for the price?
Also, does the special 1.99% financing apply to the AMGs? I'm sure they can make exceptions, right?
Also, I know the prominent problems for the ML63 are the front magnetic shocks going out and electrical problems. Where these fixed on the 2009s? I'd assume so since it is the 3rd model year of that body style....Was there a TSB to replace them? The car comes with a warranty, but I don't want to deal with blown out shocks in the future? Is there a need for me to have them replace them?
Anything else I need to check specifically?
Any advice would be great! Thanks!

I worked in the car business for 6 years and spent my last 2 with BMW. That car should have around $6-8k markup at that price, maybe a little less. If it were me buying the car I would have to get at least a $4000 discount. Anything more than that would be better.

I've been looking at 2009+ ML63's for my girlfriend for the past few weeks and considered buying this exact car. It has all the options except for 3-zone climate control and rear seat heating. I passed on it as it's just overpriced at $59K. You can find some with much fewer miles that are asking the same price. I was thinking $50,000, but $52,000 would be fair in my opinion. I might be wrong but with the 2012 ML63's coming to dealerships within the next few weeks I'm thinking the W164 63's will take a pretty big price drop in the next few months.
Let us know what you end up buying and post some pictures. Good luck!
