Greetings all, new forum member and new to Mercedes as I have come from the BMW community. I live in the D.C. area. I recently purchased a 2000 ML55 AMG with 120,000mi and am having trouble with the a/c (which sucks in D.C. in the summer). the freon was recharged although I don't know if the non merc dealer did it correctly and the clutch will not engage when the switch is turned on. Fuse #44 is good and the fans blow. No hot air blows with the selector to cold. I have decided to let Mercedes diagnose the exact problem for me and then do the repair myself. I did all my own work before on BMWs and I'm a former helicopter mechanic so I have decent skill. My problem is I cant seem to find any good DIY write ups any where in this forum or others. I'm also having a hard time finding any decent repair manuals online or in parts stores. Am I destined to purchase a shop manual for hundreds of dollars? Same thing for the motor mount. Any Ideas?
