2008 ML550 stock 19" Rims / Wheels fit on a 2007 ML63? Help.

I found a set of stock 19 inch 2008 ML550 Rims / Wheels and was wondering if they will clear the AMG brake pads/rotors on a 2007 ML63. I plan on using them for the Winter.

Anyone know the answer to this? Please help.

It will likely clear. If you take a look at your spare tire you will realize that it's a 19" rim. I had 19" S-Class AMG on my R63 (same brakes as you) when I bought mine and it cleared.

But there is the question of offsets.

For me to give you a certain answer though, I need you to tell me exactly which wheel you're looking at, and which wheel is currently on your car. Are the wheels you're looking at staggered? For you to do this, please take a look at this website and find the exact wheel that you're looking at:

Are these the rims that are currently on your car?

Hi, Yes those are my stock rims. I will not know the exact look of the ML550 ones until the weekend. Thanks for the links.

Okay, so I went to see the "Stock" ML550 Rims in person today and they were not stock.

They are aftermarket 19 x 8.5 with 255 50 19 tires with an ET 35 offset (all four are the same). With the ET 35 offset, do you think that right there I'm done? Stock on the ML63 is 20x10, ET 46.

I measured the inner rim with of both sets to gain an idea if it will clear the large AMG brake pads/rotors and it appears that the aftermarkets 19's will fit but now what about the offset? Is anyone running a ET 35 offset wheel on am ML or ML63 without issues?

Thanks.

So I used this offset calculator to calculate the dimensions. You will gain 30 mm on the inside edge and the outside will go in 8mm.

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

At this point you'll have to eyeball to see if going in 8mm will work or not (likely will). Keep in mind when calculating clearance it's not just about offsets but also about the wheel width.

BTW my car came with 19" S Class AMG rims which are ET43 and 9.5 inches wide. We've got the same brakes so I can guarantee it clears your car. I find it to be nice a nice aggressive fitment and with the fender flares on the ML it should fill your wheel wells nicely. If you're interested, I'd like to sell them. They've got Michelin all season tires with quite a bit of tread left. I think the tires have about 3,000 miles on them before I switched out to the 21" rims that you see in my sig.

To see pics, click on my "build thread" on my signature link. The first few photos are the 19" rims before I got the 21" a few pages in.

Thanks for you help. I will know this weekend for sure as I picked them up earlier this morning and I'll be mounting them this weekend.

As for your 19" set, what size tires are on them and what are you asking for them shipped to either Toronto, Ontario Canada (postal code M6K1Y9) or Niagara Falls New York (14303). My neighbor may be interested. Please PM me that info.

Thanks. again.
