W163 Radiator Fan

Hey guys,

I had bought a replacement Rad fan but just in 2 months , it had died on me..
When the car is idling, the temp goes up but when it's moving.. Temperature comes back to normal.. I dont understand why it is so and what could be the cause? Fuse seemed fine though

Make sure the fuse & fuse block does connect as I had the same issue 2 years ago and all the root cause was poor connection between fuse block and battery terminal.

W163 cooling fan, fuse location

It is on the POSITIVE post on the battery on my ML 500.

Make sure the surfaces between post, fuse & power cable to the fan are clean and free of corrosion or contamination.

I hope my attached pic will help. Best of luck.
