ML63 Engine- dealer changed pistons, prolems began

Hi Folks, I purchased an ML63 2008 with 29K miles. Within a few months it had oil consumption problems. Pre-owned warranty. so they changed out all 8 pistons. The problems got worse. Intake cam actuators failed, MB replaced. Crank shaft sensor has metal shaving on it. Wore down 2mm. Replaced. Now the ring gear (fly wheel) is cracked in two places. I think the dealer that put in the pistons ruined the engine and has caused the other problems. It is out of POW but MB says they will fix the ring gear. I am really concerned that the original piston replacement caused the engine to be out of balance and it is causing the problems. Care has 37K miles now. Please give me some advice! I want them to replace the engine.

New, old Mercedes and REAL AMG's.
Question: Where did you buy it? If it is at the same dealer you are working with, I would threat them to sue for selling me a lemon, dump the car on their front lot and demand to get another one.

It is at another dealer, not the one I purchased it from. MBUSA is paying for current repair but the State Consumer Affairs Bureau is involved and hopefully this will get fixed. Thanks for the input!

The ring gear was cracked. It was replaced by MBUSA. All other expenses I had were paid for by the dealer that did the damage. Bureau of Automotive Repair was very helpful.
