Question on 2000 ML55
I have a 2000 ML55
1.How do I get rid of the oil level sensor light on the dash. I replaced the sensor. I have after market scanner but cannot see this code or clear it??
2. My fuel gauge sending unit was replaced like 5 years ago and now the fuel gauge is not working correctly, is this a common problem with ML? expensive part.
Any help would be great.

Oil level sensor in 2000 ML55
I noticed the locking clip of the male connector of the wiring harness that connects to the oil level sensor is broken, so it is loose.
I got the new connector and now have to see how to remove the old connector
and replace with the new one and see if it works properly.
BTW, I talked to the MB dealer mechanic and he said that there is no code
to clear with DAS and should not show any oil light on the cluster.
It should go away on its own unless I have a bad sensor or bad connector.
I also noticed that there are no more oil leaks under the car, one was from oil sensor and other was power steering fluid leak from the reservoir, so replaced the o-ring.
