I thought the idea of painting the fender flares and the door guard black on my Iridium Silver Benz might kick it up a notch in appearance> Any thoughts? Anyone try this already?

This about as far as I would go if I had a silver car. Looks good on the SLS not sure how it would look on the ML. Could be cool.

No no. Not that. Just the bolt on wheel fairings and the door guard pieces. That's all.

I think the wheel fairings would be too much and give a "truck" look. The smaller trim pieces could add that element of sportiness you're after. One easy way is to use Plastidip. Its spray-on and very durable, easy to use, inexpensive, etc. But, if you don't like it...you can just peel it right off! dipyourcar.com I think is their website.
