Anyone here live close to Manassas, Virginia?
Hey guys,
Still looking for a replacement for my rusty ML430 and I found this on Autotrader. It has the options and low mileage I was looking for.
Carfax says it was in an accident but only says "It hit a tree". Literally no other info.
Since I'm out of state its not easy for me to drive to Virginia and take a look at it. Curious if anyone close by would be willing to drive out there and take a peek at the body. I'm mainly concerned about rust underneath and on the outside of the vehicle. Also frame/structural damage that might be easily visible.
I plan on having a PPI done if I pursue this further but figured it couldn't hurt to have someone close by take a peek.

Had PPI done at an MB dealership:
no rust or frame damage
they did find an oil leak near the rear of the engine.
I just gave the dealership an offer of $25K to see how desperate they are to dump this thing.

I'm about 40-50 mins from Manassas, that area is known for many of those small used dealerships with questionable cars that tend to go bust the moment the car goes off the lot, I would do some research on the dealer and check the history as well.

Yeah, I don't trust this dealership as far as I can throw them. That's why I had a PPI done at a MB dealership. Also the carfax looks good besides the accident. Service history is very good.

I second this and am also from the area, however, it is easy to find decent vehicles at such dealerships, you just have to do your homework - which the OP has done it sounds like.
