Brembo front brake kit for ml55
One of my friends who just traded his ml55 for a cayenne turbo bought a front brembo brake kit for his ml before he decided to dump it. I can buy the kit for $4,000.00. Is this a good price? Will this kit make a big difference in how my ml55 stops? It supposedly has ferrari f50 calipers and vented rotors. Has anyone else done this to their ml55? Any advice would really be appreciated.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
which kit? whatever it is it isnt worth 4k...hes definitely turning some profit off of you. i have argued with members of this forum about this issue...a few say brake kit makes no difference, but it does. BUT going from an AMG's already upgraded kit for a kit such as brembo isnt really necessary unless you plan on doing motor work or tracking it. you will feel a difference regardless, but it really isnt worth 4k to me to go from AMG to another...going stock motor for everyday driving.

brembo brake kit
Here is the info on this kit. It is called a gran turismo kit. It has front calipers with four pistons, 14 " front rotors, all the mounting hardware and he also is including rear rotors. Does this clarify things?

Brake kits for ML55 AMG
Hi there,
I just wanted to remind you all........what made us buying the ML55 AMG in the first place?
AMG Red calibers caught my eyes.......and they're unique looking from other MLs....from performance to it's great looking AMG package. Why would any one try to modify this BEAST....unless you're upgrading the motor.......342hp isn't it enough for everyday driving? It's just my personal opinion!!!!!
It's yours, do whatever you please

vo911turbo...ui understand what youre saying but the brakes he is talking about probably keep the red calipers, has slotted and dimpled rotors that are much larger. oh! and not to mention the insane breaking ability.

Hey fella's....the AMG brakes on the ML55 are already made by Brembo, so unless you're getting more pistons or larger calipers then you are waisting your money.
