ML55 AMG purchase but requires fan assembly?
Hey Everyone, I used to be a member of the W202 C43 AMG forum but have sold that car.
I am looking at purchasing a winter vehicle here in Canada, or just a vehicle I can drive on crappy days, etc.
It's a 2000 ML55 AMG. I can get it for under $4k but it is a bit rough around the edges. Engine and Tranny work fantastic but it has lots of little things wrong with it but are totally liveable if they don't bother you.
Anyway the big thing is that the owner said it needs a new fan assembly.
First off it doesn't look like a big job but where can I find a replacement part for cheap?
Thanks and looking foward to driving this and slowly bringing it back to life.
Anything else I should look out for?

i live in the southern US which has quite a number of 'you pull it' type junkyards. my fan was not working and we determined it was the fan - check that you have signal to all of the connectors. i pulled the fan and radiator from an ML500 - i'm sure that the 500 is an exact fit. perhaps a 430 would work too. all of the 320 trucks had a mechanical fan which was the wrong design. i took the radiator also, it was easier to remove the front crossmember and pull both the radiator and fan together. good luck. my truck has 137K and is now sort of road worthy. haul *** too.
