Post W164 ML63 Rear Air leak - Help

Hi - Sorry if my etiquette is not correct I am a new member.
I have a 2007 ML63 - I have had it for a few months now and must admit it has had a few faults which I am resolving 1 by 1 haha
One issue I haven't resolved yet is a strange pneumatic (sounds like compressor) leaking sound from the right rear wheel arch, I have dismissed the airbag as the vehicle does not drop over night, the compressor is good and fires up when the vehicle is started and quickly shuts off. I suspected the ADS shock - but am glad to say this is in good condition - no oil leaks, nice and clean and no issue with ADS cylinder. I finally found the leak but I cannot find any reference or indeed the part anywhere!! So the leak is from a metal pipe that sits just above the rear arm, the pipe is about 8mm diameter and mine has a hole on the bottom - the hole is quite large. It looks like it might have been poorly installed and damaged. I thought the pipe went to the rear resevoir but now I am not so sure. I have no leaks - and am sure the pipe carries only air. Can anybody shed any light on this pipe? Whats its function, part number and how to replace it?
Thanks in advance.

I have a video of the leak but the file is 60MB! if anybody needs to see it.
Al

You can buy a small tubing cutter, some high-pressure rubber hose and four good stainless hose clamps rather cheaply. Cut the pipe, install six inches of hose, and forget about it.

Thanks Wally - Its a little trick to get to I might have to remove it to fix. Do you know what the pipe is for mate?
I used a bit of amalgamating rubber its stopped the noise but I dont think it is any good for pressure.

Thanks again

"Not being hampered by facts, I can discuss the subject freely."

No knowledge, but one guess would be part of the fuel system venting. Anything on the air suspension would cause immediate problems, and would be high pressure.
